FAQ

About Our

Therapy/Counseling

Do you accept insurance?

Absolutely. Please ask about your health insurance coverage when you arrange your first visit.

(Did you know? In order to use your health care benefits, any counselor will have to diagnose you with a mental illness. This means if you seek help for a life crisis such as relationship difficulties, empty nest issues, job loss, etc. your record will indicate a mental illness diagnosis for the rest of your life. Your benefits may also be very limited and not allow you the neccessary time to work through your issues.)

What if I don’t have insurance?

NOVO: Renewing Joy in Life offers adult, adolescent and child sessions at reduced fees and payment plans!

Get more details by calling the NOVO information line at 630-297-3617. Reduced fee space is limited so don’t delay!

What is your expertise?

Our counseling team has a broad range of experience. All counselors have advanced education and expertise in adult, adolescent, and/or child therapy. Each counselor specializes in areas that range from individual, couple, family, and group therapy.

What is your philosophy on counseling those with relationship problems?

Although we provide traditional couple therapy, our philosophy is that individual issues are at the root of relationship problems. We believe that by allowing both individuals in the relationship to experience the necessary healing and counseling on their own, they will be more equipped to restore the relationship. Periodic joint sessions allow the couple to address indentified individual issues that impact their couple dynamic.
